About Us
Welcome to BURDOC FARMS
Burdoc Farms is a 700 acre family farm located in the Western Kentucky region of the Ohio Valley. The farm was established in 1952 by the Shepherd Family, operating as a traditional farm for over 65 years. Keith and Sara Shepherd took over the farm in 1995 and turned the farm into a conservation farm.
What Is a conservation farm
As a designated Conservation Farm, Stewardship Farm and Tree Farm, the family has turned the land back to its original purpose while practicing land, timber, water and wildlife management. Thru these practices the natural habitats for wildlife promotion have provided an abundance of food and foraging for white tailed deer, turkey, quail, birds of prey and many other wildlife natural to the area.
